Enke Betoncoat 2K Primer, 7.0 kg bucket

Betoncoat 2K Primer
Primer for demanding industrial floors

Product information

Betoncoat Primer 2K is a two-component reactive primer for mineral substrates – offering strong adhesion and versatility. It forms the Basis for durable floor systems within the Betoncoat system and is also suitable as a binder for reactive resin mortars.

The primer is particularly crucial in areas subject to high mechanical loads, fluctuating temperatures or intensive use. Betoncoat 2K excels in these conditions thanks to its reliable deep cross-linking, good tensile bond strength and optimal application properties – even on challenging substrates.

Frequently Asked Questions

Betoncoat 2K Primer is always used where there are high mechanical loads, challenging substrates or increased exposure to moisture. Typical applications include heavily used concrete surfaces, car park decks, balconies or substrates with high residual moisture, where maximum adhesion and a moisture-barrier effect are required.

Suitable substrates are load-bearing, mineral-based surfaces such as concrete, reinforced concrete and cement screeds. The substrate must be clean, sound, free from grease and free from any substances that might cause separation. Loose particles, cement slurry or coating residues must be removed mechanically (e.g. by shot blasting or grinding).

Components A and B must be thoroughly mixed to form a homogeneous mixture in the specified mixing ratio. Incomplete or incorrect mixing may impair adhesion and full curing. Once mixed, the material should be used promptly within the pot life.

The pot life is temperature-dependent and limited. Higher temperatures significantly reduce the working time. Mixed material that starts to set or becomes warm must not be used any further. Recommendation: prepare smaller batches and distribute the material evenly.

Betoncoat 2K Primer is optimally formulated for use with ENKE waterproofing and coating systems, in particular polyurethane- or PMMA-based liquid plastics. It ensures a secure bond and uniform application throughout the system.
