Universal Primer 933 is a solvent-based, fast-drying bonding agent for dry substrates. It is mainly used as a primer for Enke roof coatings and improves adhesion, particularly on concrete, cement screed, bituminous roofing membranes, plastics, metals and sandstone. It is also used as a strengthening primer for bonding sheet metal with Enkolit® on porous or sandy substrates.

Primer 933 is ideal for:

• dry, absorbent or mineral substrates
• traditional roofing and renovation work
• bonding sheet metal with Enkolit on problematic substrates

It is not suitable for:

• interior use
• damp or wet substrates
• Substrates where a reactive two-component bonding agent is required (e.g. Universal Primer 2K for critical mixed substrates)

Apply using a solvent-resistant roller or a brush.
In summer temperatures, the Primer is often dry after just a few minutes and can be overcoated immediately with Enke Coats. There is no need to adhere to a specific time window for overcoating.
Important: If the surface becomes soiled after the Primer has been applied, it must be cleaned but does not need to be primed again.

Coverage is approximately 100–200 g/m², depending on:

• the absorbency of the substrate
• Surface texture

The aim is to achieve an even, thin film. Avoid puddling or applying too much, as this can delay drying.

Universal Primer 933 is highly flammable and must not be used indoors.
The following are required: 

• good ventilation
• protective gloves, safety goggles and suitable work clothing
• strict avoidance of ignition sources

The product is classified as a hazardous substance (including flammable, harmful if inhaled, and irritating to the skin and eyes). The information in the safety data sheet must be strictly observed.
