Reliable in use:
High-performance, resilient, versatile – the PU Coating for demanding floors
Whether in industry, logistics or car parks: floors in these environments have to withstand more than just foot traffic on a daily basis. The Betoncoat PUR coating offers the necessary resilience – combined with flexibility, durability and design freedom. As an elastic two-component coating, it is ideal for many applications – and impresses with its high functionality and system compatibility.
Product benefits at a glance:
- High load-bearing capacity – provides lasting protection against abrasion, pressure and chemicals
- Elastic & crack-bridging – ideal for high-traffic areas subject to movement
- Good application properties – can be applied with a trowel or squeegee
- Customisable design options – can be combined with Enke plastic chips
- Optimal system compatibility – compatible with all Betoncoat primers and Sealing products
Typical applications:
The Betoncoat PUR coating is ideal for locations subject to increased mechanical or chemical stress:
- Industrial and production halls
- Workshops & logistics areas
- Multi-storey car parks & underground car parks
- Storage areas & plant rooms
- Public facilities & retail spaces
The Betoncoat PUR coating is a self-levelling, soivent free two-component polyurethane coating for floor surfaces subject to high mechanical and chemical stresses. Typical applications include industrial floors, workshops, basement and garage floors, as well as other surfaces on concrete, cement screed or mineral-bound substrates.
The coating is viscoelastic, highly abrasion-resistant and can withstand significant mechanical and chemical stress. At the same time, it adheres very well to suitable substrates. Its self-levelling properties result in a uniform, seamless surface with a long service life – even under intensive use.
Due to the vapour-tight properties of the PUR system, the substrate must be dry. The maximum permissible residual moisture content is 3% by weight. Otherwise, rising damp may lead to blistering or adhesion problems. A thorough moisture test is therefore essential.
Once components A and B have been thoroughly mixed, the Coating is applied using a notched trowel, squeegee or finishing trowel. The pot life is approximately 25 minutes at 20 °C.
Material consumption is approximately 1.7 kg/m² per mm of coating thickness, with a minimum consumption of approximately 3.4 kg/m², depending on the desired coating build-up.
Although the coating is soivent free and low-odour, the system contains reactive polyurethane components (isocyanates). Appropriate training prior to commercial use is mandatory.
The wearing of protective gloves, safety goggles and suitable work clothing, as well as ensuring good ventilation, is essential. The instructions in the safety data sheets must be followed.
