Advantages of Enke plastic chips at a glance:

- No clumping – retain their shape and remain ready for use even after prolonged storage
- Wide range of colours and blends available – for individual design ideas
- Suitable for indoor and outdoor surfaces – versatile and weather-resistant
- Compatible with various Enke coating systems – e.g. Enketop, Enkolan or Betoncoat
- Optimises slip resistance and visual impact – functional added value included
In a nutshell: Enke plastic chips transform functional surfaces into design statements – reliable, durable and versatile in use.
Enke plastic chips are decorative plastic flakes used to enhance the appearance of coated surfaces both indoors and outdoors, e.g. in garages, on balconies, terraces, pergolas or staircases.
As well as enhancing the appearance, they also help to improve slip resistance thanks to the surface texture they create.
They do not have a waterproofing function and are always part of a coating system.
Enke plastic chips are sprinkled into the fresh Coating or adhesive layer, e.g. in:
- Enketop
- Enkolan Coating
- other Enke Coating and sealing systems
The chips must always be scattered whilst the film is still open – subsequent application is not technically possible.
Depending on the desired appearance and intended use:
- Partial application:
– Coverage approx. 10–80
g/m²– Subtle accent, smooth surface - Full-surface application:
– Coverage approx. 800
g/m²– Solid, decorative surface with a more pronounced texture
The granules are applied by hand or using mechanical or electric spreading aids.
Yes, absolutely.
Once the Coating has cured, any excess chips must be removed and the surface must always be finished with a Sealing product suitable for the system.
Without sealing:
- the chips are not permanently fixed
- there is no protection against abrasion or surface damage
- the surface cannot be used in the long term
Enke plastic chips are:
- not hazardous within the meaning of the CLP Regulation
- not water-soluble and not hazardous to water
- have a virtually unlimited shelf life when stored in a dry place
No special protective measures are required.
Spilled chips can be collected mechanically; disposal must be carried out in accordance with local regulations.
