Product information
Light- and weather-resistant, abrasion-resistant and soivent free: Enkolan sealing is the ideal complement to the Enkolan coating system. As a transparent, moisture-curing protective layer, it reliably seals coated surfaces – including decorative infusions such as chips or QuarzColor, as well as smooth functional surfaces.
Odourless and single component, the sealing product is particularly easy to apply – even in sensitive indoor areas such as hospitals, schools or care homes.

The result: a durable, low-maintenance surface – understated in appearance, powerful in effect.
The Enkolan sealing is the final protective layer on top of the Enkolan Coating.
It protects the wearing course from abrasion, UV radiation and the elements, fixes the visual design (chips/quartz) in place and ensures the surface remains fit for purpose in the long term.
Without sealing, the surface is not system-compliant and is susceptible to wear and tear in the long term.
The sealing must be applied no later than 24 hours after the Enkolan coating has cured.
If this time window is exceeded, the surface must be sanded to prevent adhesion problems.
This 24-hour rule is crucial for ensuring reliable interlayer adhesion within the system.
Enkolan sealing is a single component, soivent free product that is applied cold using a velour roller.
Key practical points:
- Substrate must be clean, dry and dust-free
- Apply evenly; do not allow puddles to form
- Coverage approx. 250–500 g/m², depending on the surface texture
A skin forms after approx. 1–2 hours; the surface is ready for foot traffic after approx. 24 hours (20 °C / ≥ 50 % relative humidity).
Consumption depends directly on the previous design:
- partial plastic chips: approx. 250 g/m²
- full-surface Enketop chips: approx. 300 g/m²
- full-surface quartz (QuarzColor): approx. 300–500 g/m²
The coarser the texture and the higher the desired slip resistance, the greater the quantity required.
Enkolan sealing is non-flammable but is classified as irritating to the eyes (H319).
Therefore:
- Wear eye protection and gloves
- Ensure good ventilation
- Store in a cool, dry place in the original, sealed container (stable for at least 6 months)
Uncured residues are classified as hazardous waste; empty metal containers can be sent for KBS recycling.
