Enke-Contact
The universal construction adhesive for permanently elastic bonded and sealed joints

Product information

Enke-Contact is a versatile adhesive sealant based on MS polymers – silicone- and isocyanate-free, UV-stable and odourless. The material cures on contact with atmospheric moisture to form an elastic, dimensionally stable compound and offers excellent adhesion to a wide variety of substrates. Ideal for bonding, Sealing and jointing applications both indoors and outdoors – particularly in situations where conventional adhesives reach their limits

Frequently Asked Questions

Enke-Contact is a universal MS polymer-based adhesive and sealant for construction joints, structural bonding and adhesive seals in both indoor and outdoor applications.
Enke-Contact is not suitable for movement joints, underwater joints, tank installations, bituminous substrates or applications on PP, PE and Teflon. In these cases, specialised products designed for the specific system must be used.

Enke-Contact adheres to many standard building materials such as metals (e.g. aluminium, stainless steel), glass, rigid PVC, painted wood, epoxy, polyester and glazed surfaces.
For porous substrates such as concrete, a primer (Enke Universal Primer 2K or Universal Primer 933) is recommended. As a general rule, adhesion tests and preliminary trials are advisable for unknown substrates.

Yes. Enke-Contact is designed as an adhesive sealant and combines structural bonding with permanent elastic waterproofing. This makes the product particularly suitable for combinations of materials (e.g. metal on concrete or wood on metal) where slight movements may occur.

Surfaces must be free of dust, grease and oil, and must be solid and stable. Enke-Contact is applied directly from the cartridge; for bonding applications, it is recommended to apply it in vertical beads spaced approximately 30 cm apart to ensure good ventilation behind the joint and uniform curing.
The open time is approximately 10 minutes; curing is moisture-activated at a rate of about 2–3 mm per 24 hours.

Enke-Contact is UV-stable, weather-resistant and temperature-resistant from −40 °C to +90 °C (once cured). The sealant can be painted over, with the exception of alkyd resin paints. You should wait until a skin has fully formed or the sealant has fully cured before painting over it.
