As the final protective layer in the Betoncoat system, the single component polyurethane sealant ensures reliable surface protection – both mechanical and visual. Whether coloured or transparent, the 1K sealing product protects against abrasion, UV radiation, chemicals and discolouration. It is easy to apply with a roller, is soivent free and low-emission – ideal for industrial and commercial applications or sensitive indoor areas.

Betoncoat 1K Sealing is the final protective and wear-resistant layer in the Betoncoat system. It provides abrasion resistance, UV resistance and resistance to yellowing, as well as the desired surface finish. It is used on un-aggregated Betoncoat PUR coatings or for the coloured, decorative finishing of Betoncoat primers.
The coloured sealing creates a silk-matt, even finish and is particularly suitable for functional surfaces.
The transparent sealing agent is used when textures, chips or decorative layered finishes are to remain visible. Both variants are available in smooth or anti-slip finishes, and in either a satin or gloss finish.
The 1K sealing agent is intended for the refurbishment of Betoncoat PUR coatings, provided these have not been sanded. For sanded or heavily textured surfaces, a 2K sealing agent (e.g. 2K Aqua) should be used instead, in accordance with the system specifications.
Application is carried out using a special sealing roller made of short-fibre velour.
The coverage is:
- 100–120 g/m² (coloured)
- 80–100 g/m² (transparent)
The material is single component, requires no mixing and, when applied correctly, produces an even, streak-free finish.
The 1K sealing product contains isocyanates. Since 24 August 2023, appropriate training has been mandatory prior to commercial use.
Good ventilation, the wearing of protective gloves, safety goggles and suitable work clothing, and the avoidance of spray application are essential. The instructions in the safety data sheet must be followed.
