Enke Chips offer creative freedom in coating. As colourfast plastic flakes, they create unique, decorative effects on balconies, terraces, staircases or pergolas. Applying the flakes over the entire surface produces a superb result: a visually enhanced, durable surface with a terrazzo-like appearance.

Enke Chips are decorative plastic flakes used to enhance the appearance of coated surfaces.
They create terrazzo-like, visually appealing surfaces on balconies, terraces, pergolas, stairs and hallways.
Technically, they are not used for waterproofing, but rather to enhance the appearance and create surface texture within an Enke coating system.
Enke Chips are sprinkled directly onto the fresh Coating, e.g.:
- Enketop (balcony and patio coating)
- Enkolan Coating
The chips must always be applied to a layer that is still open and fresh.
It is not possible to scatter them onto surfaces that have already dried.
The scattering can be carried out depending on the desired appearance:
- partial scattering: targeted accents, lower consumption
- Full-surface application: a solid, terrazzo-like finish
The consumption for full-surface application is approximately 800 g/m².
The chips are spread evenly by hand or using a light blower.
Yes, absolutely.
Once the Coating has cured and any excess chips have been removed, the surface must always be finished with a sealing product compatible with the system (e.g. Enketop sealing product or Enkolan sealing product).
Without sealing:
- the chips are not secured
- the surface is not abrasion-resistant
- there is no lasting surface protection
Enke Chips are:
- lightfast and colourfast
- do not clump and have excellent flow properties
- have a virtually unlimited shelf life when stored in a dry place
Important for practical use:
- store in a dry place
- Protect containers from moisture
- Mix colour combinations thoroughly before use to avoid colour variations
