Enke Betoncoat Primer, 3.6 kg bucket

Betoncoat 1K Primer
A reliable Basis for long-lasting floor coatings

Product information

Betoncoat 1K Primer provides the perfect base for the Betoncoat system. It ensures optimum adhesion to the substrate and improves application reliability – both in new builds and in refurbishment projects. The single-component formulation is ready for immediate use and can be easily applied by roller or spray.

Thanks to its special formulation, it provides effective protection against moisture penetration from the substrate and minimises the risk of adhesion problems. The result: a sound, evenly prepared substrate for the subsequent layers of the Betoncoat system.

Frequently Asked Questions

Enke Betoncoat 1K Primer is a pore-sealing reactive primer, used in particular as an adhesion primer on mastic asphalt. It is also suitable for mineral substrates where rapid recoating on the same day is required. It forms part of the Enke Betoncoat system for floor surfaces subject to heavy loads.

The 1K primer is used when:

  • there are time-critical construction sites,
  • The surface is to be coated on the same day,
  • or mastic asphalt is present as the substrate.

For traditional mineral substrates with higher requirements in terms of pore sealing or moisture tolerance, however, 2K primers are usually the appropriate choice for the system.

Betoncoat 1K Primer cures very quickly and, at around 20 °C, can be overcoated after just 2–3 hours. This enables short construction times and streamlined workflows – a clear advantage when operations are ongoing or timeframes are tight.

The primer is applied using a lambswool roller. The primer is ready to use and does not need to be mixed.
Coverage is approximately 200–300 g/m², depending on the absorbency and nature of the substrate. The aim is to achieve an even, pore-sealing coat without any puddles forming.

The primer contains solvent-based polyurethane components and is flammable. Good ventilation, the wearing of protective gloves, safety goggles and suitable protective clothing, and keeping the product away from sources of ignition are essential.
The product should not be applied by spraying, but only by rolling. The instructions in the safety data sheet must be followed.
