Betoncoat QuarzColor Liquid adds colour and texture to floor coatings – without compromising on durability or quality. This two-component reactive resin coating is ideal for applications where the focus is not only on technical performance but also on decorative appeal. The transparent formulation binds the coloured sand, allowing the floor to be perfectly tailored not only functionally but also visually.
Whether in a warehouse, showroom or retail space: QuarzColor Liquid offers a robust, abrasion-resistant surface with high chemical resistance – all in aesthetically pleasing colours.

Betoncoat QuarzColor Liquid is a coloured, liquid epoxy resin Coating for creating highly durable, decorative wear layers. The product is used in particular for indoor floor surfaces where appearance, abrasion resistance and durability are required – for example, in industrial halls, garages, plant rooms or exhibition spaces. Depending on the application method, a smooth or slightly textured surface can be achieved.
QuarzColor Liquid is used as a two-component epoxy resin system and forms part of a multi-layer Betoncoat flooring system. Typical build-up:
- Betoncoat primer (1-component or 2-component, depending on the substrate)
- Betoncoat coating (e.g. EP or PUR)
- Betoncoat QuarzColor Liquid as the wear layer
- optional final Betoncoat Sealing
The exact build-up depends on mechanical load, appearance and slip resistance.
Suitable substrates are:
- Concrete and cement screeds
- mineral-based, load-bearing existing coatings
- professionally prepared EP or PUR surfaces
The substrate must be dry, clean, stable and free from substances that could cause delamination. Mechanical preparation (e.g. shot blasting or grinding) is essential to prevent adhesion problems.
Components A and B are mixed thoroughly until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Application is usually carried out by rolling or squeegeeing, depending on the desired film thickness and surface finish.
Important to note in practice:
- be aware of the limited pot life after mixing
- Apply evenly to avoid streaks
- protect freshly coated surfaces from dust, moisture and draughts
A continuous workflow is crucial for achieving a uniform finish.
QuarzColor Liquid is a reactive epoxy resin system. Even when applied by a professional, the following applies:
- Wear protective gloves, safety goggles and suitable work clothing
- Avoid contact with skin and eyes
- Ensure adequate ventilation
- The components may cause sensitisation
The information in the safety data sheets must be strictly adhered to – particularly when applying the product in enclosed spaces.
