Reliable (emergency) waterproofing:
Even if the weather isn’t on our side.
Arctic Seal offers exactly what matters most in emergency repairs: quick application, immediate protection and maximum reliability – even in cold and damp conditions. The material is easy to apply straight from the container or cartridge and provides seamless protection until a permanent repair can be carried out.
Advantages of Arctic Seal at a glance:
- Can be used at temperatures below 0 °C – fully workable even in frost
- Can also be applied to slightly damp substrates – no waiting time for drying
- Easy to apply with a brush, trowel or spatula – straight from the container or cartridge
- Seamless, highly elastic and vapour-permeable – adapts flexibly to any surface
- Quickly becomes rainfast – provides reliable protection shortly after application
- Soivent free and single-component – no mixing required, no emissions
- Weather-resistant and abrasion-resistant – also suitable for heavily used areas
- Available in cartridges or containers – ideal for spot repairs or larger emergency sealing jobs
In a nutshell: Arctic Seal is the quick solution when there’s no time to wait – safe, flexible and ready for use at any time.
Arctic Seal is a temporary emergency sealing solution for urgent repairs where a standard waterproofing installation is not possible due to weather conditions or time constraints.
It is designed to immediately prevent further damage and buy time until a permanent waterproofing system with a geotextile membrane (e.g. Enkolan waterproofing, Enkopur, Enkryl) can be installed.
Important:
Arctic Seal is not a permanent waterproofing solution in accordance with industry standards and is not intended as a permanent solution.
Arctic Seal can be applied even at temperatures below 0 °C, provided the substrate is free of snow and ice.
A slight degree of surface moisture is permissible and does not affect adhesion.
Depending on the temperature and humidity, the material forms a skin very quickly and is therefore soon rainproof – even light drizzle shortly after application is not a problem.
Arctic Seal adheres to most substrates found on site, including:
- Concrete and screed
- bituminous roof surfaces
- Membrane and metal roofs
- joints, penetrations, gutters and water transition zones
Surfaces without a slope where water stands are also acceptable.
Loose, flaking or brittle material must be removed before application; smooth surfaces must be roughened.
The product is applied cold using a brush, trowel or spatula.
Due to the fibre reinforcement, air pockets or raised fibres may occur if the application is not carried out carefully – these must be smoothed out during application to achieve a seamless surface.
Coverage is approximately 1.5–3.0 kg/m², although this may be higher on heavily textured substrates.
Arctic Seal must not be diluted.
As soon as weather conditions permit, the area must be professionally waterproofed using a system with a fleece lining.
To do this:
- Remove Arctic Seal mechanically, or
- if this is not possible: roughen the surface thoroughly so that the fibres are exposed
Only then may the permanent waterproofing be applied.
Direct re-coating without preparation is not permitted and compromises adhesion.

Versatile –
also available as a handy cartridge
Arctic Seal is available not only in the standard 3.6 kg container, but also as a handy 330 g PE cartridge – ideal for spot repairs, small areas or hard-to-reach places. Simply unscrew, apply, waterproofing – no preparation or additional accessories required.
Arctic Seal is a truly all-in-one product:
- single-component and ready to use
