Enkolan waterproofing is the ideal waterproofing system for areas with specific requirements: odourless, single component and completely soivent free. This makes it ideal for use in sensitive areas such as nurseries, hospitals, care homes or living spaces – wherever emission-free working is required.

Thanks to its high elasticity, weather resistance and water vapour permeability, Enkolan waterproofing offers reliable, long-term protection, even in the presence of standing water or under changing conditions. It is applied cold, without an open flame, and is particularly easy to work with.

Enkolan Waterproofing is a seamless, soivent free waterproofing system for roof surfaces, balconies, terraces, cellars and storage rooms, staircases, entrance areas, as well as joints and penetrations.
It is particularly suitable for sensitive indoor and outdoor areas where odourlessness, VOC-free properties and low-emission application are required – for example, in residential buildings, hospitals or nurseries.

Yes. Enkolan waterproofing is specifically suitable for non-sloping surfaces and areas where water remains standing for long periods, e.g. gutters or water transition zones.
The waterproofing remains permanently elastic (down to approx. –30 °C) and weather-resistant, without becoming brittle.

Installation without an Enke Polyflex fleece insert does not constitute waterproofing; it is merely a coat of coating and does not comply with the regulations.
The waterproofing must always consist of:

  • a non-woven embedding layer
  • Polyflex fleece (free from creases and voids)
  • Topcoat (wet-on-wet
    )

The minimum consumption is approx. 3.0 kg/m²

Enkolan waterproofing adheres to many types of on-site substrates, including:

  • Concrete and cement screed
  • bituminous roof surfaces
  • Metal and membrane waterproofing
  • old, firmly fixed tiles (after sanding)

A primer is often not required, but must be verified by an adhesion test in the case of critical or unknown substrates.

Enkolan waterproofing is purely a waterproofing product and is not designed to withstand long-term mechanical stress.
For balconies, terraces or pergolas, an additional wear layer is essential, e.g.:

  • Enkolan 1K LF Coating
  • Enkefloor floor panels
  • suitable slab or timber coverings

Without a wear layer, there is a risk of damage and loss of functionality.
