The Enketop Accelerator has been specially developed to significantly reduce the curing time of Enketop – without compromising on elasticity, vapour permeability or weather resistance. Adding the Enketop Accelerator helps to reduce the working time to around 20 minutes.
Ideal for adverse weather conditions or tight schedules – particularly for outdoor refurbishment projects.

The advantages of the Enketop Accelerator
When time becomes a critical factor, the Enketop Accelerator provides a decisive advantage on the building site. Thanks to its formulation, which is optimally tailored to the coating system, Enketop can be applied with even greater flexibility and is less affected by weather conditions – without compromising on quality or safety.

The Enketop Accelerator therefore not only makes the job easier from a technical perspective, but also offers a real advantage in terms of planning reliability – for faster processes and reliable results.
The Enketop Accelerator is used when the curing of the Enketop Coating needs to be significantly accelerated – for example, in changeable weather, at low temperatures, within tight timeframes, or when the surface needs to be ready for use again quickly.
Typical applications include refurbishment of existing buildings, balconies with a short closure period, or work carried out outside of stable summer conditions.
Once the Enketop Accelerator has been added, the working time is reduced to approximately 20 minutes.
Curing takes place correspondingly faster, meaning the Coating is rainproof and walkable sooner.
All the key material properties of Enketop – elasticity, vapour permeability and weather resistance – are fully retained.
The dosage must be strictly adhered to:
- 0.4% by weight of Enketop
- corresponds to 50 g of Accelerator per 12.5 kg of Enketop
The maximum addition quantity must not be exceeded, as this may otherwise impair the reaction behaviour and processing reliability.
The accelerator is stirred directly into the open Enketop container until a homogeneous mixture is formed.
Once stirred in, the reduced pot life begins immediately – the material must therefore be processed quickly and without interruption.
Important: Use only the accelerator specifically designed for Enketop – combining it with other accelerators is not permitted.
Enketop Accelerator is not classified as a hazardous substance; however, the usual safety precautions (gloves, eye protection) must be observed.
The product is sensitive to frost and must be stored in a cool, dry and frost-free place.
Uncured residues must not be allowed to enter the drainage system or the environment.
