Wings for Life Run
Running together for all those who can’t

The Wings for Life World Run is about more than just kilometres, times and finishing lines. It’s about solidarity, getting active and sending a powerful message of support to people with spinal cord injuries.

Team Scheu! also took part with great enthusiasm. With over 140 participants, including people in wheelchairs, everyone ran, rolled, cheered each other on and raised funds together. In the end, nearly 11,000 euros were raised for spinal cord research.

An impressive result and a day that showed just how much can be achieved when people come together for a good cause.

Run, roll, help

The Wings for Life World Run is a global charity run in aid of spinal cord research. All participants set off at the same time, whether they’re running, rolling or walking. There’s no fixed finish line. Instead, the so-called ‘Catcher Car’ gradually catches up with the participants.

It is precisely this unique format that makes the run so extraordinary. Anyone can take part, regardless of pace, distance or sporting experience. What matters is not how far you get, but that you’re making a difference together.

For Team Scheu!, the day turned into a special shared experience. Motivation, joy and mutual support were palpable everywhere.

A great result for a good cause

Almost 11,000 euros were raised that day. A fantastic contribution to research into treatments for spinal cord injuries.

The Wings for Life World Run also sent a powerful message worldwide: 346,527 registered runners and wheelchair users from 192 countries took part. Together, they covered around 2.9 million kilometres and raised 9.2 million euros.

These are impressive figures. But even more important is the message behind them: many people are joining forces to work towards a future in which spinal cord injuries can be cured.

Commitment that brings people together

A huge thank you goes to the Scheu family for organising the event, coming up with the idea for the jerseys and their exceptional commitment to this initiative. We’d also like to thank everyone who ran, cycled, supported, donated or cheered us on.

Moments like these show what commitment is all about: people coming together, taking responsibility and, as a team, creating something that has an impact far beyond the single day itself.

Show responsibility. Support people.

At Enke, commitment means pitching in wherever support is needed. Whether it’s social projects, special initiatives or joint activities: what matters most is that people come together and make a difference.
