It’s not always just about size
Systematic attention to detail: Enkolan in use on mini-balconies and roof terraces
Sometimes it is not the large areas, but the many small details that make a project particularly challenging. That is precisely when experience, the right system and meticulous workmanship are crucial.
As part of a comprehensive refurbishment of parts of the building, numerous mini-balconies and roof terraces were redesigned alongside the roof and façade. The project was overseen by our field technician Sebastian Dörfler from the South-East Germany region, who provided support from the planning stage right through to completion on site.
Lots of details. A harmonious result.
It is precisely with small areas, joints and transitions that the importance of precise work becomes apparent. Even if an area appears straightforward, the requirements at a detailed level can be particularly demanding.
In this project, the impressive overall result was achieved through the careful execution of many individual sections. The mini-balconies and roof terraces were subjected to waterproofing using Enkolan 1K LF. The surface was then finished with the Enkolan Coating as a system-integrated wear layer.
For the final surface finish, the Pattern 06 chip mix was predominantly used. It visually rounds off the result and adds the perfect finishing touch to the precisely executed work.
Implemented to a high standard
The project was carried out by the experts at Merkl-Bedachungen GmbH in Kirchdorf an der Amper.
The result demonstrates just how impressive even smaller areas can look when advice, system design and skilled craftsmanship come together. Or to put it another way: it’s not always about the size, but what you make of it.
