30 years of waterproofing with Enkopur – a retrospective that inspires confidence
Röbel an der Müritz. A housing estate whose flat roofs were refurbished with Enkopur over 30 years ago – covering an area of around 4,000 m², installed at a time when liquid-applied polymer waterproofing was still largely uncharted territory in residential construction. What was one of the largest projects of its kind at the time is now a best-practice example of long-term reliability.
The decision to use Enkopur was made for good reason: ease of application, cost-effective implementation and long-term protection. The fact that this decision has more than paid off is impressively evident today – three decades later.
After 30 years: first sub-areas revised
It was only now that it became necessary to refurbish parts of the roof surface once again. For the contractor, Thomas Müller GmbH from Malchow, it was immediately clear: if we’re going to do it, then we’ll use Enkopur again. Tried and tested, and tailored to the system. The first 800 m² have already been completed – ready for the coming decades.
Quality that lasts.
Enkopur is the tried-and-tested liquid plastic for waterproofing roof surfaces, balconies and terraces – even in high-stress connection areas. This single component waterproofing system offers lasting protection against moisture, even in the presence of standing water or adverse weather conditions. Even in areas where standing water is present for prolonged periods, Enkopur reliably and permanently performs waterproofing on all surfaces, problem areas and joints – seamlessly and without any weak points.
Tested. Rated. And surpassed.
The European Technical Assessment (ETA) awards Enkopur the highest classification, W3 – which corresponds to an expected service life of at least 25 years. Officially, nothing higher is specified in the ‘exposed waterproofing’ category. The project in Röbel demonstrates – in real life, with documented evidence and convincingly – that Enkopur nevertheless significantly exceeds this.
